From Da Mini Doxies~Alex....10/23/11
"We got two of our dachshunds from Karen. The first little girl we got was Lucy, a red wirehair. She is our first wirehair, and we love her to death. She loves everyone she meets, and is such a clown! A couple months later we got Taffy, an adult long-hair chocolate and tan piebald. She is such a sweetheart, and is very well-behaved. Both of our dogs we got from Big Timbers are such lovers, and we couldn't live without them. Karen was so nice throughout the process, and they were happy/healthy from the start. We will definately be buying from her again in the future"

IF ANYONE IS LOOKING AT KAREN'S WEBSITE WONDERING IF THEY SHOULD PURCHASE A DOG FROM HER YOU CAN REST ASSURED YOU WILL FIND NO BETTER BREEDER THAN KAREN. WE GOT DELILAH TWO YEARS AGO . WE BROUGHT HER HOME AT 8 WKS AND SHE HAS BEEN THE GREATEST DOG EVER. LAST YEAR WE DECIDED SHE NEEDED A SIBLING. WE WENT THROUGH KAREN ALTHOUGH IT WASN'T HER PUP. OUR LITTLE SAMPSON DIED AT THE AGE OF FOUR MONTHS FROM A KIDNEY DISORDER. HIS ORIGINAL BREEDER UNFORTUNATELY ONLY BREEDS FOR MONEY AND DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE WHEN HER PUPS DIE. IT WAS KAREN THAT CRIED ON THE PHONE WITH ME WHEN I TOLD HER OF HIS KIDNEYS AND THAT HE WAS DYING. YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR A MORE RESPONSIBLE OR CARING BREEDER THAT KAREN. SHE HAS BEEN GENEROUS ENOUGH TO REPLACE OUR LITTLE PUP EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T HER RESPONSIBILITY AND FOR THAT WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER. OUR NEW LITTLE GIRL PIPER WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY. YOU CAN TELL WHEN A PUP IS RAISED IN A GOOD AND CARING HOME. DELILAH WAS WELL SOCIALIZED AND PUPPY PAD TRAINED WHEN WE BROUGHT HER HOME AND I HAVE NO DOUBT PIPER WILL BE AS WELL. I WOULD NEVER GET ANOTHER DACHSHUND FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN KAREN AND I HOPE THAT THE BREEDER WE GOT SAMPSON FROM WILL QUIT SELLING PUPS . I WOULD NEVER WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH THE EMOTIONAL LOSS OF A PUPPY. WE WERE VERY ATTACHED TO THE LITTLE GUY NOT TO MENTION THE AMOUNT OF VET BILLS THAT HE INCURRED DUE TO HIS ILLNESS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN KAREN. YOU WILL NEVER REGET IT.

With Woody's first birthday only a few days away we thought you might like to see some new pictures of him.
He is doing great, getting calmer all the time. When we had him at the vet in April he weighed 13 pounds.
Everyone that sees him comments on how good looking he is.
Do you ever here from Stewie. We often wonder about him since he looks just like Woody.
Hope all is going well for you in your new house. I see many new puppys on your website.
Thanks for getting him off to such a great start. We can see the benefits of the socialization you guys provided him in his first weeks living with you.
He is a very special boy we love him very much.

I was looking for a male puppy "stud" that would add a bit of spice to our small breeding program. Our dogs are our pets first, so we needed to be careful. I spotted Tucker on Puppyfind.com, checked out the web site and asked my husband to go through the listings and find a male that he thought would be suitable. I wanted to get an idea of what he was looking for too. My husband, without any prompting from me, showed me Tucker. WOW! I then contacted Karen by email. She responded just as a good breeder should, full of questions and concerns, and she doesn't sell with full rights to just anybody. I was taken aback for a moment, but after thinking about how a puppy we had sold from our summer litter ended up dead at the hands of the neglectful owners, I recovered quickly, and realized I needed to learn from this woman. I too am more careful as to who gets my puppies. We emailed several times, with lots of questions and answers, then spoke on the phone a couple of times, set up an appointment to meet. We drove 3 hours to a very receptive household. The adult dogs greeted us with that friendly doxie love. I sat on the floor and pet several adult dogs, all very loving. I fell in love with Karen's Daisy. We proceeded to the puppy area. Wow, lots of babies, full of energy and very sweet, none as sweet as Tucker though. We brought Tucker home. The vet gave us the A OK, and it has been fun since. Each vet visit, Tucker has been scooped out of my hands by employees and paraded around the office. They adore him. He is a hit with my customers, I have a business in my home. The neighbor kids call and ask "can we come down and see Tucker, not me, Tucker. He is very well adjusted, he is crate trained for when I am away. He sleeps with us, he went from sleeping in my hair or cuddled into my neck, to curling up at the bottom of the bed, I guess he is growing up. He is an all around joy. NO YOU CAN NOT HAVE HIM BACK KAREN!!!!! LOL Thanks Big Timbers for our little man, can't wait to see what his babies look like.

We got a puppy off of Karen in June '08. He was extemely healthy and well socialized. He has been a wonderful asset to our family.
Everywhere we take him people comment on how beautiful, well behaved, and friendly he is. I would recommend Karen 1000 times over if you are interested
in purchasing a well rounded puppy. I don't know what we would do without Beau!
We cannot thank you enough for Oscar! He has brought such
happiness to Katie and to our entire family. He is the
sweetest little guy in the world. It is so obvious that you
have loved him and nurtured him since birth. He is now 7
lbs. and a perfect addition to our family. He is loved by
all! Kudos to you and your breeding!
Karen was an absolute pleasure to work with! Not to mention the beautiful well behaved almost potty trained puppy I received from her!
i couldn't have asked for a more helpful breeder. She helped me with everything from setting up paypal to getting his flight arranged. thanks again Karen! :)

You are such a dear person, and your doggies are a tribute to your hard work and love. Minnie has been named Taffey, even though I still keep forgetting myself and at times call her Minnie. She is doing wonderfully.....I can't brag enough about your excellent breeding, knowledge of the dogs, and most of all your tender loving care for each and every one of your dogs and puppies. I could write a book about the last couple of days....Taffey is just perfect in every way and has brought a spark back into every one of our lives. My dad just adores her, she sits on his lap for hours and sleeps. My son plays and cares for her in a way I have never seen him act towards any dog. He is so gentle and caring with her.....he is with her constantly. Wes and I took her to our vets yesterday afternoon.....he agreed that she is perfect! She weighed 3.1 pounds. She has been going on the puppy pads I have for the dogs, and has not had an accident anywhere in the house since we arrived home! Really....not once! She is so good, sweet, and playful. Just a joy to be with at all times. She listens, and when she is chewing on something that she shouldn't.....all I have to do is call her name and she looks at me, I say no, and she stops. I give her a toy to chew and she chews away and plays tug of war with me! She has slept through the night without crying or whining since the first night home. She sleeps in the kitchen, but once she goes potty, she is with us throughout the house....and when she is thirsty, hungry, or has to go potty....she goes to the short wooden barrier I have up by the kitchen entrance and we put her in the kitchen. She does what she wants and comes running back to the barrier to come back in the living room. She gets along with my other doggies exceptionally well...and they are getting along with her as well. She is playful with them and of course at their age, they don't want to puppy play,....but they just put up with it and never fuss her at all! She really loves Joy, our lab.....Joy is a little backward with her right now....but I think as Taffey grows some, the two will be best friends!
As I said, I could go on and on....and I guess that I have done just that! Taffey has been the hit of everywhere she has been the past few days.....the pet store managers and staff thought she was gorgeous....most have never seen a dapple dachshound in person. People at the vets were in awe with her....especially the other people there with their pets! Wes and I had her outside for a few minutes with a collar and lease yesterday....a woman that I don't know lives down the road from us....she drove down and stopped to see her. She went on and on....and gave me her phone numbers and email address so that I could send her your website and info on your puppies! Her first name is Jennifer....so if you ever hear from her.....she was so in love with Taffey! All my neighbors think she is adorable and so beautiful. I raved about all of your puppies to everyone.....I would never hesitate to recommend you as a breeder to anyone that wants a top quality puppy! If I didn't have my three older Maltese...I would have gotten two of your puppies!
Well, I better head off....as I've talked your ear off with this novel on my precious angel! I will be in touch....I promise!
Thanks so much for everything, Bev
